Ruboxistaurin (LY333531) is a potent and selective oral inhibitor of PKC beta isoforms, exhibiting competitive, ATP-dependent inhibition with IC50 values of 4.7 nM (PKC beta I) and 5.9 nM (PKC beta II) . It has been widely used in preclinical research, including in vitro signaling studies and in vivo models of diabetic microvascular complications.
