Topotecan hydrochloride hydrate is an orally bioavailable Topoisomerase I inhibitor used in cancer research. It arrests the cell cycle at G0/G1 and S phases, inducing apoptosis, and is applied in both in vitro cytotoxicity assays and in vivo xenograft studies for various malignancies.
