FT709 is a potent and selective inhibitor of the deubiquitinating enzyme USP9X (IC50=82 nM) . By inhibiting USP9X, it reduces cellular levels of Makorin and ZNF598, thereby disrupting ribosomal quality control mechanisms. This tool compound is useful for studying protein homeostasis and ribosome-associated degradation pathways in cellular models.
