IZTZ-1 is an imidazole-benzothiazole conjugate that functions as a c-MYC G-quadruplex ligand. It stabilizes this structure, leading to downregulation of c-MYC expression, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This mechanism inhibits the proliferation of B16 melanoma cells in vitro.
