Antitubercular agent-19
Antitubercular agent-19 is a potent small molecule exhibiting excellent in vitro activity against both drug-sensitive (MTB H37Rv) and multidrug-resistant (MDR-MTB) Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains, with MIC values below 0.016 μg/ml. While demonstrating low cytotoxicity in vitro, it shows relatively high acute lethal toxicity in BALB/c mouse models, highlighting its potential for antimycobacterial research and preliminary in vivo efficacy and safety investigations.
