8-Prenylkaempferol is a small molecule that inhibits pro-inflammatory NO production and suppresses influenza A virus-induced RANTES. Its anti-inflammatory mechanism involves blocking PI3K-mediated NF-κB and IRF-3 activation and partially inhibiting IκB degradation, thereby reducing NF-κB nuclear translocation.
