Gliotoxin
Gliotoxin is a mycotoxin from Aspergillus fumigatus that acts as a Wnt signaling pathway inhibitor. It induces growth arrest and apoptosis in Wnt-mutant colorectal cancer cells via PKA activation, cAMP elevation, and suppression of NF-κB activity by stabilizing IκB. This molecule is a valuable tool for studying Wnt and NF-κB pathways in cancer research, both in vitro and in vivo.
