(S) - (-) -Anatabine is a tobacco-derived alkaloid and NRF2 activator. It has been shown in a rat model of ovalbumin-induced asthma to alleviate oxidative stress and inflammation by upregulating the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway. This compound is also a candidate for research in autoimmune conditions like thyroiditis.
