Methyl p-hydroxyphenyllactate

Methyl para-hydroxyphenyllactate (MeHPLA) is a research compound that inhibits proliferation of estrogen-sensitive MCF-7 breast cancer cells in vitro and reduces rat uterine growth in vivo. Its anti-proliferative effects are linked to high-affinity binding at the type II estrogen binding site (EBS) . This makes it a useful tool for studying estrogen receptor pathways and endocrine-related cancer research.
