MeAIB is a selective inhibitor of the N-acetyltransferase and SNAT2/ATA1 signaling pathway. As a specific substrate for the System A transporter (ATA1), it is used to study sodium-dependent neutral amino acid transport in both cellular and animal models of metabolic regulation and cancer.
