MK-2206 is a potent, selective allosteric Akt inhibitor active against Akt1, Akt2, and Akt3 isoforms. It demonstrates anti-proliferative effects in vitro, particularly in breast cancer models with PIK3CA mutations or PTEN loss, and has been evaluated in preclinical in vivo tumor studies.
