(R) -Nepicastat HCl

(R) -Nepicastat HCl is the R-enantiomer of nepicastat and a potent, selective dopamine-β-hydroxylase inhibitor, exhibiting IC50 values of 25.1 nM (bovine) and 18.3 nM (human) . It shows negligible activity against a broad panel of other enzymes and receptors. This selectivity makes it a valuable research tool for studying catecholamine regulation in cardiovascular and neurological disease models, both in vitro and in vivo.
