Elaiophylin
Elaiophylin (Salbomycin) is a macrocyclic dilactone antibiotic with demonstrated in vitro antiprotozoal activity. It inhibits the growth of drug-resistant Plasmodium falciparum K1 and Trypanosoma brucei brucei strains with IC50 values of 0.36 μM and 0.45 μM, respectively, making it a candidate for parasitology research.
