Retrorsine

Retrorsine is a pyrrolizidine alkaloid that selectively blocks hepatocyte proliferation, enabling the study of liver injury and regeneration. Following damage, it promotes the emergence of small hepatocyte-like progenitor cells, making it a valuable tool for in vivo and in vitro research on liver repair mechanisms and hepatocellular injury models.
