Rocaglaol
Rocaglaol is a potent small molecule with anticancer activity, inducing apoptosis via the mitochondrial pathway and causing G2/M arrest through Cdc25C/Cdc2 modulation. It also exhibits neuroprotective effects in vivo by inhibiting NF-κB/AP-1 and can mitigate chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity. Furthermore, it and related compounds strongly inhibit protein synthesis and cell growth in vitro at low ng/mL concentrations.
