Nardoaristolone B is a structurally unique nor-sesquiterpenoid with a protective effect on neonatal rat cardiomyocytes in vitro. Synthetic hydrindane analogs derived from it and noreremophilanes show enhanced repellent activity against adult female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.
