Ataluren (PTC124) is an orally bioavailable small molecule designed to promote readthrough of nonsense mutations. It is conditionally approved in Europe for ambulatory Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is widely used in preclinical in vitro and in vivo studies investigating nonsense mutation suppression across various genetic disorders.
