2'-Deoxyuridine
2'-Deoxyuridine is a pyrimidine nucleoside antimetabolite incorporated into DNA as deoxyuridine triphosphate. It is widely used in biochemical research to study nucleotide metabolism, DNA synthesis inhibition, and mechanisms of anticancer agents. Its laboratory application includes the deoxyuridine suppression test for diagnosing megaloblastic anemias caused by B12 or folate deficiency.
