6-Phosphogluconic acid
6-Phosphogluconic acid is a potent, competitive inhibitor of phosphoglucose isomerase (PGI), with apparent Ki values of 0.048 mM and 0.042 mM against glucose 6-phosphate and fructose 6-phosphate, respectively. This inhibitor is a valuable research tool for studying glycolysis and the pentose phosphate pathway in metabolic research, both in vitro and in cellular models.
