BCI (E-BCI) is a cell-permeable, allosteric inhibitor of select DUSP proteins, notably DUSP6 and DUSP1, with cellular EC50 values of 13.3 and 8.0 μM, respectively, while sparing DUSP5. It is a valuable research tool for investigating ERK signaling pathways in cancer research and has been utilized in both cellular and in vivo studies to probe phosphatase function.
