L002 is a potent, cell-permeable, and reversible inhibitor of the p300 acetyltransferase (KAT3B), competitively binding its acetyl-CoA pocket with an IC50 of 1.98 μM. It blocks histone and p53 acetylation and STAT3 activation, showing research utility in studying cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis in both cellular and animal models.
