CCI-006 is a selective small molecule that acts as a chemosensitizer in MLL-rearranged leukemia. It induces irreversible mitochondrial depolarization by disrupting respiration, which subsequently triggers a pro-apoptotic unfolded protein response. This mechanism supports its investigation in both in vitro and in vivo models of acute leukemia.
