Zucapsaicin is the synthetic cis-isomer of natural capsaicin, developed for the treatment of osteoarthritis-associated knee pain and neuropathic pain. Its mechanism, targeting the TRPV1 receptor, has been investigated in both in vitro assays and in vivo models of inflammatory and neuropathic pain.
