Mitotane

Mitotane is an adrenocorticolytic agent derived from DDD, selectively targeting and inhibiting adrenal cortical cells and hormone production. It is used in research models of adrenocortical carcinoma and Cushing's syndrome, with studies demonstrating its cytotoxic effects in both in vitro and in vivo experimental settings.
