Benzyl-α-GalNAc (O-glycosylation-IN-1) is a cell-permeable inhibitor that blocks the initiation of O-linked glycosylation. It is widely used in biochemical and cell biology research to study mucin-type O-glycan functions, both in vitro and in vivo, by reducing mucin expression on cell surfaces.
