Molsidomine

Molsidomine is an oral, long-acting vasodilator prodrug. Its hepatic metabolite, linsidomine, decomposes to release nitric oxide (NO), the active vasodilating agent. This compound is used in cardiovascular research, including studies of vascular tone and endothelial function in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
