Glimepiride
Glimepiride (HOE-490) is a third-generation sulfonylurea antidiabetic agent with a prolonged duration of action. It is widely used in diabetes research to study insulin secretion mechanisms in pancreatic beta-cells, both in vitro and in established animal models of type 2 diabetes.
