N-Acetylprocainamide
N-Acetylprocainamide (NAPA) is the primary active metabolite of the Class Ia antiarrhythmic procainamide, and itself functions as a Class III antiarrhythmic agent. It is used in cardiovascular research to study potassium channel blockade and its effects on action potential duration in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
