4E2RCat is a small molecule inhibitor of the eIF4E-eIF4G interaction with an IC50 of 13.5 μM. It effectively suppresses coronavirus replication by reducing viral protein synthesis and the yield of infectious virus, making it a useful tool for studying cap-dependent translation and antiviral mechanisms in vitro.
