CMS-121 is an orally bioavailable quinolone derivative and potent acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (ACC1) inhibitor. It demonstrates neuroprotective, antioxidative, and anti-inflammatory properties, protecting HT22 cells from oxidative and ischemic damage with EC50 values of 7 nM and 200 nM, respectively, and shows renoprotective potential in research models.
