Rifabutin
Rifabutin is a semisynthetic ansamycin antibiotic that potently inhibits bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, blocking transcription initiation. It is widely used in antimycobacterial research, including in vitro susceptibility assays and in vivo models for studying tuberculosis and MAC infections.
