Cyclopiazonic acid
Cyclopiazonic acid (CPA) is a neurotoxic secondary metabolite from Aspergillus flavus that acts as a potent nanomolar inhibitor of the sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPase (SERCA) . It is widely used in research to study calcium signaling, ER stress, and programmed cell death in both in vitro cellular models and in vivo plant studies.
