Benserazide hydrochloride
Benserazide hydrochloride is a peripheral inhibitor of the enzyme aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (AAAD) . It is widely used in research, particularly in in vivo models of Parkinson's disease, to prevent the peripheral conversion of levodopa and thereby increase its central bioavailability for neurological studies.
