Etebenecid
Etebenecid (Urelim) is a uricosuric agent that promotes renal excretion of uric acid, thereby reducing its serum levels. It also acts as an inhibitor of renal tubular penicillin secretion. This compound is utilized in research models studying hyperuricemia, gout pathophysiology, and drug transport mechanisms in both in vitro and in vivo settings.
