Anisindione
Anisindione is a synthetic indanedione anticoagulant that acts as a vitamin K antagonist. It inhibits the hepatic synthesis of active vitamin K-dependent clotting factors (II, VII, IX, X) and regulatory proteins C and S. This mechanism supports its research use in studying thrombosis and hemostasis in both in vitro biochemical assays and in vivo pharmacological models.
