Gossypol (acetic acid)
Gossypol acetic acid (AT101) is a cottonseed-derived polyphenol that functions as a pan-Bcl-2 inhibitor by binding to Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, and Mcl-1, while sparing the BIR3 domain and BID. It is widely used in cancer research, particularly in studies of apoptosis, with applications in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
