Tiopronin
Tiopronin (Acadione) is a thiol derivative of glycine used in research to study cystinuria. It lowers urinary cystine concentration, thereby inhibiting cystine stone formation. This compound is applied in biochemical and pharmacological studies, including in vitro assays and in vivo models of renal stone disease.
