Liothyronine (T3) is a potent synthetic agonist of thyroid hormone receptors TRα and TRβ (Ki = 2.33 nM) . It is widely used in research to study thyroid hormone signaling, metabolic regulation, and to establish hyperthyroidism models in both in vitro and in vivo experimental systems.
