Olsalazine disodium
Olsalazine disodium is a prodrug converted in the colon to the active anti-inflammatory agent 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) . It is used in ulcerative colitis research to study localized drug delivery and 5-ASA's mechanisms in both in vivo models and in vitro assays of inflammation.
