Nitazoxanide
Nitazoxanide (NSC-697855) is a synthetic benzamide compound with broad-spectrum antiprotozoal activity, primarily through inhibition of the pyruvate:ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR) enzyme. It is widely used in research for studying cryptosporidiosis and giardiasis in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
