Ibandronic acid

Ibandronic acid (Bonviva) is a third-generation bisphosphonate that potently inhibits bone resorption and reduces elevated blood calcium. It is widely used in research models of osteoporosis and tumor-induced hypercalcemia, both in vitro and in vivo, to study osteoclast function and bone metabolism.
