5-Aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride
5-Aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride (5-ALA HCl) is a biochemical precursor in the biosynthesis of heme and all tetrapyrrole compounds. It is widely used in research, notably in photodynamic therapy studies and as a tool to induce protoporphyrin IX accumulation for both in vitro and in vivo investigations.
