SR1664 is a potent, selective PPARγ inhibitor that blocks Cdk5-mediated phosphorylation (IC50 = 80 nM) without agonist activity. This tool compound is used in diabetes research to study PPARγ's role in insulin sensitization in both cellular and animal models.
