N-Oxalylglycine is a cell-permeable small molecule that competitively inhibits α-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenases, such as prolyl hydroxylases and histone demethylases. It is widely used in vitro and in vivo to study hypoxia signaling, epigenetics, and collagen biosynthesis.
