Pyropheophorbide-a
Pyropheophorbide-a (Ppa) is a chlorophyll-derived photosensitizer investigated for photodynamic therapy (PDT) of tumors. Its application is studied in both in vitro cellular models and in vivo animal studies for its efficacy in generating cytotoxic reactive oxygen species upon light activation.
