Clomazone
Clomazone is a synthetic herbicide featuring a 2-chlorobenzyl-substituted isoxazolidinone structure. It inhibits carotenoid biosynthesis, leading to chlorophyll photobleaching, and is widely used as a reference compound in plant physiology and weed control research, both in vivo and in vitro.
