Vacuolin-1
Vacuolin-1 is a cell-permeable small molecule that potently and selectively inhibits PIKfyve. It blocks Ca2+-dependent lysosomal exocytosis and impairs lysosomal maturation, thereby inhibiting late-stage autophagy. This compound is widely used in vitro and in vivo to study lysosomal function, membrane trafficking, and autophagic flux.
