Tropisetron (ICS 205-930) is a dual-acting small molecule, functioning as a potent α7-nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist and a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist with respective Ki values of 6.9 nM and 5.3 nM. It is widely used in neuroscience research to investigate cholinergic and serotonergic systems in models of cognition, inflammation, and nausea, both in vitro and in vivo.
