CRANAD-2 is a near-infrared fluorescent probe derived from curcumin for detecting amyloid-beta plaques. It exhibits a 70-fold fluorescence increase and a 90 nm blue shift upon binding to Aβ aggregates, enabling sensitive in vivo imaging in Alzheimer's disease research models.
