Pretomanid is a nitroimidazole-based antitubercular agent with a reported MIC under 2.8 μM. It is utilized in research for investigating novel TB treatment regimens, demonstrating bactericidal activity in both in vitro assays and in vivo murine models of tuberculosis infection.
